Straight talk about what CybrGate does and does not do, so you can decide whether it fits what you need. This page forms part of the Terms of Service.
The short version
- CybrGate can miss things. A lower score is not a clean bill of health.
- The local AI classifier can be wrong, and it can only lower a verdict, never raise one.
- CybrGate is not antivirus, endpoint protection, legal advice or a compliance certificate.
- Third-party statistics on this site are attributed to their sources and are not our measurements.
1 Provided as is (no warranty) #
The Service is provided "as is" and "as available," without warranties of any kind, whether express, implied or statutory, including implied warranties of merchantability, fitness for a particular purpose, title and non-infringement. We do not warrant that the Service will be uninterrupted or error-free, that it will detect every malicious extension or prompt injection, or that any score, finding or explanation is complete or correct. This section forms part of Terms of Service, Section 15.
2 No guarantee of detection #
CybrGate scores permissions, combinations, version-over-version changes and, where it has them, observed destinations. An extension can be harmful without holding a risky combination, and an attacker can shape text to evade signatures. The engine reports the checks that did not run (for example content security policy, remotely loaded code and externally_connectable, which chrome.management does not expose) as unassessed. A lower score is never a clean bill of health.
3 How the action gate behaves #
Against an automated or unactivated action, the gate cancels it and asks. Against a real user's trusted click on a page that scanned as an injection, it does not cancel: it warns prominently and records the event, because a cancelled trusted click cannot be faithfully replayed and breaking a real checkout would get the product uninstalled. The gate is therefore strongest against agents. It is a control, not a guarantee.
4 AI classifier #
AI disclosure. CybrGate uses a local Gemini Nano classifier, through the Chrome Prompt API, on the user's own device, as a second-stage filter that can only lower an ambiguous verdict. It may be wrong. It is not professional, legal, security or compliance advice. A model asked to judge text that is itself the attack can be talked into a wrong answer, which is why it can never raise a score or clear a result the signatures were confident about. Where no model is available, signatures run alone. See Privacy Policy, AI.
5 Not legal, compliance or security advice #
Nothing in the Service or on this site is legal, financial, employment-law or professional security advice. Whether and how you may monitor employees' browsers is a question of the law where they work; ask a qualified professional. CybrGate's audit log is evidence you can use in your own program. It does not make you compliant with any framework, and AR Dynamics Inc does not claim any third-party certification for CybrGate.
6 What CybrGate is not #
CybrGate is not antivirus software, endpoint detection and response, a network firewall, or data-loss prevention, and it does not protect a device that is already compromised. It is visibility and control over one surface: the browser.
7 Depends on Chrome #
CybrGate is a Manifest V3 extension with a minimum Chrome version of 120. What it can observe is set by Chrome's extension APIs. Manifest V3 removed blocking webRequest, so destination monitoring is observational only. An extension that holds management may try to disable CybrGate. A browser-side journal can be deleted by someone with access to the profile, which is why the server keeps the chain head. A change to Chrome can change any of this.
8 Third-party statistics and prices #
The figures on this site about other companies and incidents are attributed to their sources where they appear: Chrome release information for the Prompt API (stable in Chrome 148) and the WebMCP origin trial (Chrome 149); public reporting for the January 2026 Chrome Web Store review bypass involving two fake AI assistants with more than 900,000 combined installs; reported figures for the Koi and LayerX acquisitions; the AWS Marketplace listing for Koi's cheapest public SKU; and AR Dynamics market research for Spin.AI's entry floor. LayerX's statistics about extension use are vendor-reported and are not our measurements. Prices and acquisitions can change. We make no claim about any other company beyond what is stated and attributed.
9 No testimonials or paid endorsements #
This site contains no customer testimonials, no customer logos and no paid endorsements or affiliate links. Any that appear in future will be disclosed as such, and no review or testimonial will be fabricated or incentivized without disclosure.
10 Availability #
We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability. If the server is unreachable, the extension keeps its last verified policy for the offline grace period configured in managed policy and then applies its most restrictive posture, rather than no posture.
11 Not for high-risk use #
CybrGate is not designed or tested for use where its failure could cause death, personal injury or serious harm.
12 Trademarks #
Chrome, Gemini and Google are trademarks of Google LLC. Koi, LayerX, Spin.AI, Palo Alto Networks, Akamai, ChatGPT, DeepSeek, Stripe and AWS Marketplace are trademarks of their respective owners. They are mentioned only to describe sourced facts. CybrGate is not affiliated with, sponsored by or endorsed by any of them.
